Abuja youths took to the streets to take part in the second wave of the End SARS protests that started today, Dec 7.

The mammoth crowd at the Abuja protest was surprising and people said as much on Twitter.Meanwhile in a related development President Muhammadu Buhari has warned that any act of hooliganism hiding behind lawful and peaceful protests will be dealt with decisively to ensure peace and stability in the country.
There have been reports that the #EndSARS protest against police brutality, which was quashed by law enforcement two months ago, was going to be reignited this week.

While virtually declaring open the Chief of Army Staff’s Annual Conference 2020, President Buhari commended the nation's armed forces for their efforts at swiftly restoring law and order in various states of the federation.

The  EndSARS protests were largely peaceful across the country until a hoodlums were hired to infiltrate the ranks of the protesters and attack them.

On October 20, 2020, armed soldiers fired live rounds into a crowd of peaceful, unarmed protesters at the Lekki toll gate in Lagos, Nigeria's commercial capital.

President Buhari is yet to acknowledge the Lekki shooting. His administration has also gone   to war with CNN for its reporting on the Lekki shooting.
