Finally, the United States President, Donald Trump, has conceded defeat to President-elect Joe Biden.

Trump said he will handover smoothly to Biden on January 20, 2021.

He made this known in a statement on Thursday after the U.S. Congress certified Biden’s victory.

“Even though I totally disagree with the outcome of the election, and the facts bear me out, nevertheless there will be an orderly transition on January 20th.

“I have always said we would continue our fight to ensure that only legal votes were counted. While this represents the end of the greatest first term in presidential history, it’s only the beginning of our fight to Make America Great Again,” CNN quoted Trump to have said in a statement.

Social media giant, Twitter, has blocked users from sharing U.S. President Donald Trump’s national address to his supporters who clashed with police operatives at Capitol Hill on Wednesday.

Trump asked the protesters to “go home in peace” after the mob breached security to attack parts of the U.S. capitol hill.

Trump claimed that the November 3 2020 presidential election was rigged in favor of President-elect Joe Biden.

“We don’t want anybody hurt, it’s a very tough period of time…this is a fraudulent election and we can’t play into the hands of these people.

“So go home in peace,” he said.

But Twitter said the video violated its rules and blocked it from being shared.

Biden had also called out Trump for inciting his supporters, and urged the outgoing president to tell the protesters to end the siege.

Since the November 3, 2020 election was called for Biden, Twitter had flagged almost all of Trump’s claims of electoral malpractice.

Biden Tells Trump To Call Supporters To ‘End Siege’ On Congress, Says Democracy Under Assault

Following the clash by supporters of U.S. President Donald Trump and security forces at the Capitol Hill on Wednesday, President-elect Joe Biden, has asked Trump to call the protesters to order, saying the “siege”on Congress was an assault on democracy.

In a nationwide address from Delaware county, Biden also accused Trump of inciting the public with his rhetorics.

Recall that Trump’s supporters had earlier besieged the Capitol Hill where the US Congress was expected to decide on certifying the votes from all the states.

Trump also joined them briefly and verbally attacked some Republicans for not fighting to help him overturn the November 3, 2020 election.

But Biden has insisted that Trump’s behavior has worsened America’s democracy like never before.

His words : “All of you have been watching what I’ve been watching; at this hour, our democracy is under unprecedented assault unlike anything we’ve seen in modern times.

“An assault in the citadel of liberty, the capital itself; an assault on the people’s representatives and the capitol hill police who swore to protect them.

“An assault on the rule of law…

“Let me be very clear, the scenes of chaos in the capital do not reflect true America…what we are seeing are a small number of extremists dedicated to lawlessness; this is not decent, it’s chaos and it must end now.

“I call on this mob to pull back and allow the work of democracy to go forward.

“The words of a president matters, no matter how good or bad that president is; at the best, the words of a president can inspire, at the worst they can incite.

“Therefore, I call on president Trump to go on national Television now to fulfil his oath and defend the constitution and demand an end to this siege.

” To storm the capital, smash windows…is not protest, it’s insurrection.”

Almost at the same moment, Trump also addressed the nation an called on protesters to go home and not allow hoodlums to hijack the protests.

He maintained that the election was rigged but asked his supporters to stay calm.

“I know you are pained, I know you are hurt; we had an election that was stolen from us, it was a landslide and everyone knows it especially the other side.

“But you have to go home now, we have to have peace, we have to have law and order and we have to respect our great people .

“We don’t want anybody hurt, it’s a very tough period of time…this is a fraudulent election and we can’t play into the hands of these people.

“So go home in peace,” he said.

The process of certifying the election has not concluded as of the time of this report.

U.S. President Donald Trump told his supporters “to go home now” hours after they stormed the U.S. Capitol.

“I know your pain, I know your hurt. We had an election that was stolen from us,” Trump said in a one-minute video posted on social media.

“But you have to go home now, we have to have peace, we have to have law and order,” he added.

Trump had come under increasing pressure to call on the protesters to leave the grounds of the Capitol and denounce the action.

He repeated his baseless allegations that the election was “fraudulent,” claims with which he riled up crowds earlier in the day.

“We love you, you’re very special,” he said in the clip, addressing his supporters in the nation’s capital, which included a melange of right-wing groups such as QAnon supporters and militia members.

United States Vice President Mike Pence, on Wednesday, told the U.S. congress that he has no constitutional powers to singlehandedly disprove votes already certified by various states after the November 3, 2020, presidential election.

Pence disclosed this to the legislators in a formal letter on Wednesday as supporters of President Donald Trump surround Capitol Hill.

“It is my considered judgement that my oath to support and defend the Constitution constrains me from claiming unilateral authority to determine which electoral votes should be counted and which should not,” he stated.

But U.S. President Donald Trump has said that he is banking on Pence to ensure the votes are not certified.

“If Vice President Mike Pence comes through for us, we will win the Presidency. Many States want to decertify the mistake they made in certifying incorrect and even fraudulent numbers in a process NOT approved by their State Legislatures (which it must be),” he tweeted.

The Congress, which is debating the legality of the results called by each state, has been forced into a recess as Trump supporters breached security at the Capitol hill.

Thousands of Trump protesters stormed the congress building and attempted to enter the building.

Trump is alleging electoral malpractice.
