Four days after the mysterious murder of Ahmed Gulak, a top All Progressive Congress (APC) chieftain in Owerri, Imo State by unknown gunmen last weekend, the chairman of the party in Adamawa State Ibrahim Bilal has demanded that Governor Hope Uzodimma should produce the killers.
Bilal stated this why speaking to newsmen in Yola, the capital of the state. He said since Uzodimma was quick to rush to the conclusion that Gulak' s murder was politically motivated, then it would behold on him to produce the perpetrators of the murder.
He berated Uzodimma for saying that Gulak' s death was a political assassination when he does not have any pieces of evidence.
The APC state chairman went further to call on the government of President Mohammadu Buhari to use all the paraphernalia of his office to make sure that the killers of the Adamawa State- born politician are brought to book.
He further pleaded with the president to use all the force behind Nigeria security force to go after the outlawed Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB), who were alleged to be behind the killing, and crushed them out of existence.
Bilal said he could not understand why northerners are being hunted and killed in the east while the Igbos are moving about freely in most of the north without anybody threatening them.
Gulak was killed by unknown gunmen last weekend in Owerri while he was heading to the airport en route to Abuja. Few hours after his assassination, the police came out to accuse IPOB of behind the murder of which the secessionist group has denied.
